No. 2014-37 Resolution Delegating Authority to Appoint Election Judges To Avon Per January 20,2015 Special ElectionTOWN OF AVON, COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 14-37 SERIES OF 2014 A RESOLUTION DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO APPOINT ELECTION JUDGES TO THE AVON TOWN CLERK WHEREAS, the Avon Town Council has referred a ballot issue to a special election to be conducted on January 20, 2015, which special election shall be conducted as a mail ballot election under the Colorado Municipal Election Code of 1965; and WHEREAS, three election judges must be appointed at least fifteen days prior to the special election and the Avon Town Council regular meeting in January is less than fifteen days prior to the special election and Colorado Revised Statute §31 -10 -401 authorizes the Avon Town Council to delegate the authority to appoint election judges to the Avon Town Clerk; and WHEREAS, the Avon Town Council finds that the delegation of such authority to appoint election judges to the Avon Town Clerk will promote the timely and efficient appointment of election judges. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, that the Town of Avon hereby delegates the authority to appoint election judges to the Avon Town Clerk.
