Re: Termination of Intergovernmental Agreement for Building Inspection Services

The intent of this letter is to provide the Town of Avon (the "Town ") notice that Eagle County intends
to terminate the Intergovernmental Agreement for Building Inspection Services between the Town of
Avon and the County of Eagle, Colorado (the "IGA "). A copy of the IGA is enclosed for your
reference.
The Town and Eagle County originally entered into the IGA in July, 2010. At that time, the Eagle
County Building Department had the resources and time available to provide outside services such as
those contemplated by the IGA. However, recently our Building Department has experienced a
significant increase in its workload due to increased building activity within unincorporated Eagle
County. Due to this increased workload, Eagle County no longer has the capacity to provide any
additional building inspection services that may be requested by the Town. For that reason, and
pursuant to Paragraph G of the IGA, please be advised that effective December 18, 2013, the IGA will
be terminated.
In the event anything changes on our end, we will be sure to let you know.
