TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 08-49
SERIES OF 2008
A RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF TAMRA NOTTINGHAM UNDERWOOD
WHEREAS, Tamra Nottingham Underwood subscribed to the oath of office for the Avon Town
Council having been elected to serve as a member from 2004 until 2008; and
WHEREAS, Tamra Nottingham Underwood has abided by her oath and has served the Town
well through her many hours attending work sessions, regular meetings, town functions, and special
events over a period of four (4) years; and
WHEREAS, her service has been exemplary in thoughtfulness, thoroughness, vision, energy
and value; and
WHEREAS, Tamra Nottingham Underwood's contribution to the Town of Avon is a continuation
of her family's residence in Avon since the late 1800s, her childhood in Avon and her commitment to
raising her children here; and
WHEREAS, Tamra Nottingham Underwood will be succeeded in the office on the 2nd day of
December, 2008, as an Avon Town Council member.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON, AS
FOLLOWS:
The sincere thanks of the Town Council, the residents and the Staff of the Town of Avon are
extended to Tamra Nottingham Underwood for her efforts to make Avon the "HEART OF THE
VALLEY" and a community where a diversity of people can live, work and play.
