A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING
SURCHARGE
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to provide the best law enforcement
services possible to the citizens of the Town of Avon; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that the ongoing and recurrent training of the
personnel of the Avon Police Department is essential to the safety of the citizens of the
Town of Avon; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has adopted Ordinance No. 07- 1,5, providing
that, upon sentencing of any person for a misdemeanor violation of the Municipal Code
or upon imposing a fine upon any person who has been found to be in violation of, or
against whom a default judgment has been entered, for any infraction of the Code, the
Municipal Judge shall impose upon the offender a surcharge in the amount established
from time to time.by resolution of the Town Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following surcharges are
established:
1. Offenses under Title 10, Avon Municipal Code (Traffic Code) - $10
2. Avon Municipal Code 6.04.060 (a) (1), Dog at Large - $10
3. Other offenses and infractions - $20.
