SERIES OF 1999
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, ESTABLISHING FEE
SCHEDULE "A" PERTAINING TO FEES FOR BUILDING, MECHANICAL,
PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL AND GRADING PERMITS
WHEREAS the Town Council has enacted-Codes establishing standards relating
to the issuance of permits for building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and grading
work in the Town of Avon; and,
WHEREAS the Town Council wishes to establish this Fee Schedule "A" setting
the fees for such permits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Town Council hereby adopts the following Schedule A, setting
the fees for issuance of building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and grading permits.
Section 2.
SCHEDULE A.
1. Plan Review Fees:
The plan review fee for building, commercial electrical, commercial plumbing
and commercial mechanical permits shall be 65% of the permit fee associated with the
work.
2. Building Permit Fees:
(a) All new construction, additions, and remodels shall be computed for value of
construction using cost per square foot as shown in the latest Edition of The Building
Standards Magazine as published by the International Conference of Building Officials,
Whittier, CA.
(b) Once the value has been established, the fee schedule shown in Table "1-A -
Building Permit Fees," of the latest edition of the Uniform Building Code, as adopted by
the Town of Avon, will be used to determine the base fee, and then a factor of +35 %
shall be added for the total fee.
3. Electrical Permit Fees:
(a) Residential: (This includes construction, extensive remodeling and additions
to modular homes, mobile homes, duplexes, town homes, condominiums and single
family residences (based on enclosed living area)):
Not more than 1,000 square feet $40.00
Over 1,000 sq. ft..- not more than 1,500 sq. ft .............$60.00
Over 1500 sq. ft.- not more than 2,000 sq. ft ...............$75.00
Each 100 sq. ft. in excess of 2000 sq. ft 5.00
(b) Other. All other fees, except for inspections in mobile homes and travel
trailer parks, shall be computed on the dollar value of the electrical installations,
including materials, labor and profit (i.e., total cost to the customer), and such fees shall
be computed as follows based on the valuation of the work:
1. Not more than $300.00 $35.00
2. More than $300.00 but not more than $2000.00...... $40.00
3. More than $2000.00 but not more than $50,000.00...$16.00/ per
thousand or fraction thereof.
4. More than $50,000.00 but not more than $500,000.00 .....:$15.00/ per
thousand or fraction thereof, plus an additional $50.00.

5. More than $500,000.00 .................$14.00/per thousand or fraction
thereof, plus an additional $550.00.
6. Mobile homes and travel trailer parks per space ............$35.00
7. Re-inspection on any and all of the above $50.00
8. Temporary power inspection $42.50
4. Mechanical Permit Fees:
(a) New work. For new work as a part of a new building the mechanical permit
fees shall be fifteen percent of the building permit fee, and shall be collected with the
building permit fees. The actual permit will not be issued until the owner or responsible
party representing, the mechanical contractor has signed the applicable permit and it is on
file at the Town of Avon Building Inspection Office.
(b) Other work. For other work the fee shall be based upon the actual value of
the work, and calculated as shown in table "1-A - Building Permit Fees," of the latest
edition of the Uniform Building Code as adopted by the Town of Avon..
5. Plumbing Permit Fees:
(a) New work. For new work as a part of a new building the plumbing permit fee
shall be fifteen percent of the building permit fee and shall be collected with the building
permit fee. The actual permit will not be issued until the Master Plumber has signed the
permit and it is on file at the Town of Avon Building Inspection Office.
(b) Other work. For other work the fee~shall be based upon the actual value of
the work and calculated as shown in "Table 1-A - Building Permit Fees," of the latest
edition of the Uniform Building Code as adopted by the Town of Avon.
6. Grading Permit Fees and Grading Plan Review Fees:

All grading permit fees and grading plan review fees shall be as shown on Table
A-33(A) and A-33(B) of the latest edition of the Uniform Building Code as adopted by
the Town of Avon.
7. Additional Fees:
The following specific fees shall be collected as required for all types of
applicable permits:
(a) Re-inspection fees-for all trades when a correction has not been made prior to
the recalling of the inspection ..............................................................$100.00
(b) For the removal or demolition of a building, per inspection............ $47.00
(c) For the inspections required for the placement of mobile or modular
buildings $127.50
(d) Inspections outside of normal business hours ...................$70.50/per hour
(e) Investigation fee for working without a valid permit shall be 400% of the
appropriate required permit fee.
