No. 1998-42TOWN OF AVON RESOLUTION NO. 9842 A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE TOWN OF AVON WHEREAS, a petition for annexation of certain property has been filed with the Town of Avon requesting annexation of particular real property to the Town of Avon; and WHEREAS, the legal description for the area proposed to be -annexed is more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached to this Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to initiate annexation proceedings in accordance with the law; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OY AVON, COLORADO: The Town Council finds that the annexation petition is in substantial compliance with C:R.S. § 31-12-107(1) as set forth in the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965, as amended (the "Act"). 2. Town Council directs that a public hearing on the annexation petition be held to deternime,a) whether the proposed annexation complies with Sections 31-12-104 and 105, C.R.S., b) whether all applicable Town requirements have been satisfactorily met, and-c) whether to adopt ordinances annexing the real property to the Town of Avon. 3. The public hearing shall be held at the Town Council meeting commencing at 5:30 p.m. on the. 25' day of August, 1998 at 400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado.
