A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE COLORADO TRANSPORTATION
COMMISSION APPROVE THE TOWN'S ASSUMPTION OF OWNERSHIP OF
AND FULL, RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE OF AVON ROAD
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation has provided funding for
contract administration for the construction of a series of five roundabouts on Avon Road
(State Highway 70H); and
WHEREAS, a condition of the Colorado Department of Transportation funding
commitment was that upon completion of the first construction contract the Town would
submit a formal request to the Colorado Transportation Commission to approve the
Town's assumption of ownership of and full responsibility for maintenance of Avon
Road; and
WHEREAS, the first construction contract for construction of the series of five
roundabouts is complete and the final pay request has been submitted to the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO THAT:
The Town of Avon, Colorado hereby formally requests that Colorado
Transportation Commission approve the Town's assumption of ownership of and
full responsibility for maintenance of Avon Road (State Highway 70H).
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Avon on the 24th day of March, 1998.
