RESOLUTION NO. 97-53
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TOWN OF AVON
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND TRANSPORTATION PLAN AS
THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF AVON AND AS
THE ANNEXATION PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF AVON
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the Town of Avon,
acting pursuant to S 31-23-208, C.R.S., has certified to this
Board attested copies of a Comprehensive Plan and a
Transportation Plan Update for the Town of Avon ("the Avon Master
Plans"); and
WHEREAS, said 5 31-23-208, C.R.S., directs that such
attested copies shall be filed with the county clerk and recorder
after approval by this Board; and
WHEREAS, 5 31-12-105(1)(e), C.R.S., requires that,
prior to completion of any annexation within the three-mile area,
the municipality have in place a plan for that area, which
generally describes the proposed location, character and extent
of streets, subways, bridges, waterways, waterfronts, parkways,
playgrounds, squares, parks, aviation fields, other public ways
grounds, open spaces, public utilities and terminals for water,
light, sanitation, transportation and power to be provided by the
municipality and the proposed land uses for the area;
THE TOWN COUNCIL FINDS that the Avon Master Plans have
been adopted by the Planning Commission of the Town of Avon in
conformity with state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of
the Town of Avon as follows:
1. The Avon Master Plans are approved for filing with
the Clerk and Recorder of Eagle County.
2. The Avon Master Plans further are adopted as the
plan required by S 31-12-105(1)(e), C.R.S.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting the 14th day of
October, 1997.
