A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE REGULAR
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3,
1992
WHEREAS, the regular municipal election will be held on
November 3, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.2(b) of the Charter of the Town
requires that at such election three councilmembers be elected
for four-year terms; and
WHEREAS, as a result of vacancies occurring since the
last regular municipal election, three councilmembers must be
elected to serve the remaining two years of unexpired terms;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of
the Town of Avon:
1. At the regular municipal election to be held on
November 3, 1992, the three candidates receiving the greatest
number of votes shall be deemed elected to four-year terms.
2. At that election the three candidates receiving the
next greatest number of votes shall be deemed elected to serve
the remaining two years of unexpired terms.
3. The election precinct for all municipal elections
shall'be,the entire Town of Avon until otherwise resolved by the
Town Council.
