RESOLUTION NO. 89-27
SERIES OF 1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO,
ADOPTING A SAFETY PROGRAM STATEMENT OF POLICY
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon is a member of the
Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) which
provides property and liability insurance; and
WHEREAS, the loss control committee of CIRSA requires
members to establish a loss control policy; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon desires to adopt a Safety
Program Statement of Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, that the Safety Program Statement
of Policy is adopted as follows:
1. The purpose of our Town organization is to deliver
services to the citizens of Avon in an effective, timely and safe
manner. The people of this community and our employees are our
most important asset, and the safety of our employees and citizens
in the delivering of these services is one of our most important
responsibilities.
2. A good accident-prevention and loss-control program
is clear evidence of good management. The safety of our employees
and equipment must be considered in every managerial decision.
Accidents of operational errors which result in injury or loss
of property are preventable. It shall be the goal of our
accident-prevention and loss-control program to do everything
reasonable to prevent injury to employees, damage to property,
and to protect the public and the employees from the results
of accidents and improper procedure.
