RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL REVIEW USE TO ALLOW
AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR IN THE MOUNTAIN CENTER BUILDING
LOCATED ON LOT 26/27, BLOCK 1, BENCHMARK AT BEAVER
CREEK
WHEREAS, Jerry Vekre of Jerry's Auto Repair has requested
a Special Review Use to allow Automotive Repair in the Mountain
Center Building located on Lot 26/27, Block 1, Benchamark at
Beaver Creek, which is located in the IC (Industrial Commercial)
Zone District; and
WHEREAS, automotive and other vehicular sales and repair
shops are allowed in the IC Zone District as a Special Review Use;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has held a
public hearing and has determined that the proposed use:
1. Otherwise complies with all requirements imposed
by the Zoning Code; and
2. Is consistent with the objectives and purposes of
the Zoning Code; and
3. Is deemed compatible with surrounding land uses and
uses in the area; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town
has approved the Special Review Use to allow Automotive Repair for
Jerrv's Auto Repair in the Mountain Center Building located on
Lot 26/27. Block 1, Benchmark at Beaver Creek, subject to:
1. Adequate parking being provided for the proposed use
in conjunction with Chapter 17.24 of the Avon
Municipal Code;
2. The provision that the visible accumulation of
personal property on the site, including but not
limited to, automobile parts, tires, disabled
vehicles, etc., be contained within the building or
other structure as may be approved by the Planning
and Zoning Commission;
3. Commission review and approval of all modifications
proposed for the building exterior;
4. Commission review and approval of plans for individual
business signage or a comprehensive sign program for
the entire project;
5. The provision that the Special Review Use shall
expire with the loss of any required parking.
6. Re-evaluation of this Special Review Use at the time
Phase II of the project is started or not later than
June 1, 1989
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council
of the Town of Avon, Colorado, concurs with the findings and
determinations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
hereby approves the Special Review Use to allow Automotive Repair
for Jerry's Auto Repair, located in the Mountain Center Building,
Lot 26/27, Block 1, Benchmark at Beaver Creek, subject to:
1. Adequate parking being provided for the proposed
use in conjunction with Chapter 17.24 of the Avon
Municipal Code;

Special Review Use to Allow Automotive Repair
At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Commission, August 16, 1988, the Commission adopted a resolution
recommending the approval of a Special Review Use to Jerry's
Auto Repair to allow Automotive Repair in the Mountain Center
Building located on Lot 26/27, Block 1, Benchmark at Beaver Creek.
