TC Res. No. 1985-29• RESOLUTION NO. 85-29 SERIES OF 1985 • A RESOLUTION REVISING SECTION 2.10 AND SECTION 2.30 OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RULES AND REGULATIONS. WHEREAS, the Town Council has established a Planning and Zoning Commission which took over the duties of the abolished Design Review Board; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission is using the Design Review Board Rules and Regulations as their procedural rules; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission desires to amend Section 2.10 and Section 2.30 of said rules and regulations to revise the regular meeting schedule and to amend the submittal and application schedule for project Design Review. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Amon, that the Planning and Zoning Commission is directed to delete the existing Section 2.10 MEETINGS and existing Section 2.30 SCHEDULE FOR APPLICATION, and insert in lieu thereof the following revised Section 2.10 MEETINGS and revised Section 2.30 SCHEDULE FOR APPLICATION into the Design Review Board Rules and Regulations: Section 2.10 MEETINGS. The Board shall regularly meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the official meeting room of the Town. The Chairman may call special meetings of the Board when deemed necessary. A Notice and Agenda of each meeting shall be posted in the official posting places of the Town by the Secretary to the Design Review Board at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to any meeting of the Board. All meetings of the Board shall be open to the public. All records, including proceedings of meetings, applications for review, plans, reports, etc., 1 0 0 shall be maintained in the office of the Secretary to the Design Review Board. Section 2.30 SCHEDULE FOR APPLICATION. All required materials, information, and fees must be submitted to the Secretary to the Design Review Board, during regular office hours, according to the following schedule. Incomplete or insufficient applications shall not be placed on the meeting Agenda, except for Conceptual Review as outlined in Section 2.48. a. Applications for commercial projects, commercial/resi- dential projects, and residential projects containing 10 or more units: at least 21 days prior to the meeting at which the application is to be considered. b. Applications for miscellaneous items requiring design review, and residential projects containing less than 10 units: at least 14 days prior to the meeting at which the application is to be considered. c. Projects which have been formally reviewed by the Design Review Board, and have been requested to provide additional or revised information may be placed on the Agenda if such material is submitted at least 7 days prior to the meeting at which the material is to be considered. Nottingh , mayor MEMO TO: Bill James FROM: Norm Wood RE: Planning &-Zoning Commission Design Procedures, Rules and Regulations The Planning and Zoning Commission began a review of'a draft of revised Planning and -Zoning Commission Design Procedures, Rules and Regulations at the July 25, 1985, meeting. As a result of this review, the Commission adopted the following changes subject to Council approval: 1. Change the meeting date to the first and third Tuesday of each month; 2. Revise the Design Review application and submittal schedule to: a. Commercial Projects, Commercial/Residential Projects, And Residential Projects Containing,10 or More Units: application submittal at least 21 days' prior to the meeting at which to be considered. b. Miscellaneous Items Requiring Design Review, And Residential Projects Containing Less Than 10 Units: application submittal at least 14 days prior to the meeting at which to be considered. c. Additional Or Revised Information Requested At A Formal Review Of A Project By The Planning And Zoning Commission: must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the meeting at which to be considered. The Planning and Zoning Commission felt quite strongly about these revisions, and requests that they be implemented as quickly as possible.
