RESOLUTION NO.#84-15
SERIES OF 1984
WHEREAS, Eagle County and School District RE-50J
has priority and use over Tract P as a school site, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon is desirous of using
Tract P for its best public use if the School District and
the County has or will determine that said Tract will not
be used for a school, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council and Town Planning and
Zoning Commission have ultimate authority over how Tract P
will be used through the Town's Zoning ordinances if said
parties relinquish their interest in Tract P, and
WHEREAS, the Town envisions that potential uses
of Tract P could benefit the School District and County
residents through recreational and water treatment facilities
on all or a portion of Tract P;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council
of the Town of Avon, Colorado, as follows:
1. The Town Council encourages the School District
to release all rights to Tract P in a manner acceptable to the
District if said Tract is not planned for a school.
2. The Town of Avon is willing to assist the School
District and the County in accomplishing the resolution to
Tract P.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council at
the Town of Avon on April 24, 1984.
