RESOLUTION NO.#84-10
SERIES OF 1984
A RESOLUTION BY THE AVON TOWN COUNCIL SHOWING APPRECIATION TO
THE GOLD AND BANNER SPONSORS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE
1984 AVON TOWN CUP
WHEREAS, the first Avon Town Cup/North American
Trophy Series Race was held in Avon/Beaver Creek on February
7-11, 1984, and;
WHEREAS, the first Avon Town Cup was successful,
largely due to contributions made by community sponsors,
and;
WHEREAS, top athletes from across the country and
around the world were invited to, and participated in, the
event, and;
WHEREAS, the event attracted local, regional, and
national interest and attention;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council
of the Town of Avon, that the Town wishes to thank
for their generous contribution in
supporting the Avon Town Cup as a Gold Sponsor/Banner Sponsor,
and encourages sponsorship and participation in the 1985
Avon Town Cup.
ADOPTED AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
