The area along Beaver Creek Point where trench settlement has occurred. This area is limited to approximately the first 300 feet of roadway going south from Saddle Ridge Loop. 3. INTRODUCED, PASSED, RESOLVED AND ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED ONCE IN FULL THIS 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1983 DATED: APPROVED October 25, 1983 TTES,1 : Patricia J. E e, Town Cyer 0a 6.4 A 1C. L4 - L-4-L-e- Sheila R. Davis, Mayor Pro-Tem 0 0 TO: Dick Blodgett FROM: Norm Wood DATE: October 19, 1983 SUBJECT: Wildridge Roads - Blocks 1,2, and 3 The roads in Blocks 1,2, and 3 of Wildridge were accepted for maintenance by the Town of Avon, Town Council at the November 9, 1982 Council Meeting with the following conditions and exceptions: 1. The asphalt widening placed along Wildridge Road between the first and second switchbacks be covered by an extended warranty ending July 6, 1984. 2. The area along Beaver Creek Point where trench settlement has occurred be excluded from acceptance. This area is limited to approximately the first 300 feet of roadway going south from Saddle Ridge Loop. 3. The area along Wildridge Road East where shoulder sloughing has occurred be excluded from acceptance. This area extends from the intersection-of Wildridge Road West northward to approximately Lot 8, Block 3. 4. Additional guardrail be installed at agreed upon locations during 1983. The effective date of this acceptance was July 7, 1982 with the one-year warranty period to extend through July 6, 1983. On June 15, 1983 a field inspection was made with Al Testa, of Benchmark Companies, to determine any corrections necessary for successful completion of the warranty period. A number of problem areas were identified for correction during that inspection. This is to verify that these corrections have been satisfactorily completed and the guardrail has been installed at the agreed upon locations. Therefore, I recommend the Town Council adopt the attached resolution approving the previously accepted roads as having successfully completed the one year warranty period. ~ / ~ ~fi M ~)Tll October 13, 1983 Mr. Norm Wood, Engineer Town of Avon P.O. Box 975 Avon, CO 81620 Re: Warranty Repairs for Raods in Wildridge, Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 Dear Mr. Wood: The warranty period for the roads in the Wildridge Subdivision Blocks 1, 2 and 3 expired on July 7, 1983. As a result of the final inspection of said roads, a "punch-list" was developed for the necessary repairs (letter of June 22, 1983). As of today, all such items have been completed and, in addition to those that pertained to the final inspection, we have fixed two manholes, three patches, and one culvert. I feel Wildridge Development Company (WRDC) has satisfied its obligations to the Town and request that at this point all the roads in Blocks 1, 2 and 3 be released from the warranty. I understand that acceptance is not an issue anymore, because they were accepted previously. WRDC will extend a one year warranty starting on September 24, 1983 for the first 550 feet of Wildridge Road East and for the first 150 feet of Beaver Creek Point. The roads in Wildridge Block 4 have also undergone warranty repairs as established in the letter of June 22, 1983. There have been no additional repairs requested and none have occurred. Hence, I would like to request that the warranty period for such roads be terminated on November 8, 1983 as established in the Resolution #29, 1983, of the Town of Avon. P.O. Box 954, Avon, Colorado 81620 (303) 949-5743 • 9 Mr. Wood October 13, 1983 Page 2 The two conditions presented in Resolution 29-83 have been satisfied: 1. Slope protection as required has been provided and inspected. 2. Letter from AMD was delivered on November 18, 1982. In summary, all the work required from WRDC on Wildridge Blocks 1 through 4 has been completed and inspected, and a formal release from warranty work is requested at this point. If there are any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. Cordially yours, A.J. Testa, Ph.D., P.E. Vice President, Engineering and Construction AJT:lcb
