RESOLUTION NO.#83-35
SERIES OF 1983
WHEREAS, ERNEST R. ("ERNIE") NUNN has served as
District Ranger of the Holy Cross District, White River
National Forest, since 1975; and
WHEREAS, ERNIE has been promoted to the position
of Energy Coordinator for the Intermountain Region in Ogden,
Utah and will therefore leave this area; and
WHEREAS ERNIE has made a major contribution to the
growth of the Upper Eagle Valley, including development of
Beaver Creek ski area and designation of the Holy Cross
Wilderness Area; and
WHEREAS, ERNIE has been a close and good friend of
the Town of Avon and its residents; and
WHEREAS, ERNIE NUNN will be missed by us all;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council
of the Town of Avon as follows:
1. The Town Council hereby extends its thanks to
ERNIE NUNN for his contributions to the development of the
Town and this area.
2. The congratulations and best wishes of the
Town of Avon and its residents are hereby extended to ERNIE
and his family.
3. This resolution shall be spread at large upon
the minutes of this meeting and a certified copy hereof
shall be promptly transmitted to said ERNIE NUNN.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Avon on September 13, 1983.
