RESOLUTION NO. 83-18
SERIES OF 1983
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE
FOR STREET GRADES AND CURVE RADIUS
FOR SWIFT GULCH ROAD
WHEREAS, Wildridge Development Company has requested a
curve radius and grade variance from the normal requirements of
subdivision regulations for Swift Gulch Road for the area within
approximately 600 feet of the intersection of Swift Gulch Road with
Nottingham Road; and
WHEREAS, the Town Engineer and Town Planner have reviewed
the request and recommended that the curve radius variance be approved
for a maximum 7.25% grade instead of the 8% grade as requested and
that efforts be made to reduce the grade to less than 7%; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council approves the following:
(1) A reduction from the required 300 foot centerline radius
to a minimum of 110 foot centerline radius.
(2) An increase in the maximum grade up to a 7.25%.
However, a careful review of the future design of the
road shall be made in an effort to design a roadway
with a grade of less than 7%. The 7% grade should be
exceeded only if it is clearly demonstrated to the
Town Engineer that a grade of less than 7% cannot be
feasibly obtained.
