RESOLUTION NO.#82-30
SERIES OF 1982
WHEREAS, provision of bus service to and from the
Beaver Creek Ski Area is essential to the welfare of the
Town of Avon; and
WHEREAS, certain private entities have offered
to contribute $2.00 per occupied room per night to the
Town to induce the Town to provide free bus service; and
WHEREAS, the Town will enter into an equipment
lease agreement for the purpose of acquisition of three
twenty-five passenger busses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The Mayor and Town Clerk are authorized to
enter into agreements with certain private entities pledging
contributions of $2.00 per occupied room per night as an
inducement to the Town's providing bus service.
2. Expenditure in the amount of one-eighth of
the Town's sales tax revenues commencing January 1, 1983,
or the amount of $80,000, whichever is greater, is hereby
authorized to defray the cost of a free bus service to the
extent the cost of the same exceeds the amount contributed
as aforesaid.
