SERIES OF 1981 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INCLUSION OF THE TOWN OF AVON COLORADO, WITHIN THE~BOUNDARIES OF A COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY UPON THE ESTABLISHM9,tT OF SUCH AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, there exists a housing shortage for agricultural workers, their famil4ies, and other families of low income in the County of Eagle," Colorado, with the result that many agricultural and of er low income workers and their families are unable to find decent, safe and sanitary housing; and WHEREAS, suclh condition constitutes a menace to the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, Colorado; an WHEREAS, itlis in the public interest to authorize the organization of a county housing authority within the County of Eagle, Colorado, to provide housing facilities for agri- cultural and other low income workers and their families; and WHEREAS, the County of Eagle government and the respective municipal governments within the County are attempt- ing to work together to address such housing problem; and WHEREAS, the County and respective municipal governments- have studied the pur,'pose, objectives and establishment of a County-wide housing authority and have determined that the creation of such a housing authority is a necessary step in addressing the County's housing problem. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council, Town of Avon , Colorado: .AI THAT, the Town of Avon hereby authorizes the inclusion of the Town within the boundaries of a County housing authority within the County of Eagle, Colorado, upon its creation by the'Board of County Commissioners, County of Eagle, Colorado, pursuant to § 29-4-501 et seq., C.R.S. 1973, as amended. MOVED, READ AND UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED this 16 t day of 1981.
