No. 1979-15r r RESOLUTION NO. 79-15 TOWN OF AVON SERIES OF 1979 A RESOLUTION CREATING A BOARD OF APPEALS UNDER THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE; APPOINTING AND NAMING CERTAIN PEOPLE TO MEMBERSHIP ON THE BOARD: REQUIRING THE TOWN ATTORNEY TO PROVIDE PROPOSED RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ADOPTION BY THE BOARD AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER DETAILS IN RELATION THERETO. WHEREAS, the Town has, by Ordinance, adopted the Unifrom Building Code, 1976 edition, published by the International Conference of Building officials, 6530 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California; and WHEREAS, Section 204 of the Uniform Building Code, titled "Board of Appeals," provides for the creation of a Board of Appeals; and WHEREAS, a notice of appeal of building permit has been filed by George Rosenberg, Attorney at Law, in relation to Lot 13, Block 1, Benchmark at Beaver Creek Subdivision, and it is apparently necessary for the Building Board of Appeals to meet in order to consider the issues raised by this notice of appeal; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, THAT: The entire Town Council is hereby appointed as the complete membership of the Building Board of Appeals which is hereby created by this Resolution. The Board shall meet on Wednesday, July 11, 1979 and at such other times as it may determine. It shall select a Chair- person and adopt such Rules and Reg- ulations concerning procedure as it may deem proper. The Town Attorney shall offer proposed Rules and Regulations. The Board of Appeals shall hear the matter raised by Attorney George Rosenberg at the meeting on July 11, 1979. Town Attorney, John Blish, shall serve as Legal Advisor to the Board of Appeals and the membership of the Board shall and hereby is authorized to provide for rules and and other details concerning its own existence. The Building Official shall be an Ex Officio Member and shall act as Secretary to the Board. The Board of Appeals shall serve at the pleasure of the Town Council. The Board is further authorized to employ such consultants, experts and others as it may determine to be needed in order to carry out its mission, which is hereby stated to be the Fair Resolution of such matters as may from time to time be properly presented to it under the Uniform Building Code or the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Appeals. v READ, PASSED, APPROVED AND RESOLVED THIS1&_DAY OF~~,~ y 1979.
