No. 1978-01t RESOLUTION ` 78-1 BE-IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado, Pursuant to Section 16.2 of Chapter 16 of the'Charter for the Town of von, Colorado; Section 29-1-201. et se.C.R.S. 1973, as amended; and Section-30-15-101 (2), C.R.S. 1973, as amended, that the Town of Avon gems it in the best interests of the residents of the Town of.Avon to protect the public health, safety and general welfare that the Town and the County of Eagle enter into a contract for the control, licensing, impounding and disposition of dogs within the Town of Avon. BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town enter into a written contract with the County of Eagle for the extension of services by the Eagle County Animal Control Officer within the Town of Avon, and, set for=th in specific detail in the Intergovernmental Contract Concetning S• fe `tom , 1978, which Control of Dogs, dated the _X6 /0 day of P ,ee is herein authorized to be executed by the Mayor of the Town. M or clJ RESOLUI• l0h TOWN COUNCIL Town of Avon, Colorado r RE: U.S. BLM Access Permit, NJ Sec. 1, T. SS, R 82N to Sec. 36, T. 4S. R 82x, 6th PM, Eagle County, Colorado. MEREAS: Benchmark Companies is the owner of above referenced Section 36 and adjacent Section 3S and intends to develop the property for residential and other appropriate purposes; and, MIEREAS: the Section 36 is situated one half mile north of the present boundary of the Town with the intervening one half mile (N Is Sec. 1) being owned by the United States and administered by the Bureau of Land Management- (BLM) ; and, WHEREAS: the Town has recognized that the most desireable access route to Section 36 is across the BIN land and has previously recommended that the BLM grant an access permit for crossing its land to Benchmark Companies, and, WHEREAS: the Town recognizes the desireability to keep separate residential from industrial traffic to maintain safe and peaceful access to residences; and, WHEREAS: the Town recognizes the desireable potential of developing the property for residential, wildlife openspace range, and other appropriate uses; and, WHEREAS: the Town strongly favors that land developed in the near proximity of Avon be annexed and incorporated into the Town; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council that, because of its near proximity and desireable development potential: The Town of Avon strongly favors the development of appropriate portions of Sections 35 and 36 for residential, wildlife openspace range, and other appropriate uses; and.
