AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE UPDATED ZONING MAP
BE IT ENACTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON,
COLORADO:
Council hereby adopts the updated Zoning Map, as required by Sections 17.16.030 and
17.28.100 of the Avon Municipal Code, attached hereto as Exhibit A of this ordinance.
INTRODUCED, APPROVED ON FIRST READING, AND ORDERED

Re: First Reading of Ordinance 05-04 Adopting the updated Official Zone District
Map
Summary:
Attached to this memo is an ordinance being forwarded to you for review, discussion,
and approval on first reading for the purpose of updating the Town's Official Zoning
District Map. Sections 17.16.030 and 17.28.100 of the Municipal Code requires
that if changes are made to the zoning of property, such changes shall be
entered on the Official Zoning Map.
The map update reflects all ordinances, resolutions, rezonings, and annexations that
have occurred since 2001 that changed the zoning of property in the Town. The
update also includes technical corrections that were identified by staff since the last
update.
At your April 12th, 2005 Council meeting, this item was tabled in order to further refine
the map. Staff has completed those revision based on the input from Council. Those
revisions include the following:
• Adding the PUD open space for parcels located within Filing 2 and 3
Village at Avon;
• Identifying the open space "Old" for the Town owned parcel located
adjacent to the southern boundary of McGrady Acres;
• Extending the right-of-way along the eastern end of Hurd lane to connect
to Eaglebend Drive;
• Confirming the location and' extent of the railroad right-of-way;
• Adding the recently approved Western Sage Subdivision; and
• Correcting several right-of-way and easement notations.
Due to the size of the draft map, staff was unable to include the map in the Council
packets. However, the draft map is displayed in the Council Chambers and in the
Community Development Department for review.

On February 1, 2005 the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously
approved Resolution 05-01 (attached) recommending approval of the Official
Zone District Map.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends the Town Council approve Ordinance 05-04, approving the
updated Zoning Map on first reading.
