AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF AVON TO PROVIDE
FOR THE REGULATION OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
WITHIN THE TOWN OF AVON; AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON,
COLORADO:
Section 1. Title 10 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Avon is amended by the
addition of a Chapter 10.18 providing as follows:
Chapter 10.18
VEHICLES PROHIBITED
"10.18.010 Vehicles prohibited. No person shall operate or drive a commercial
vehicle, truck, bus or semi - trailer, having more than a 24,000 pound gross weight, on the
following streets within the Town of Avon:
East Beaver Creek Boulevard
East Benchmark Road
Hurd Lane
Stonebridge Drive
Eagle Bend Drive;
except in the course of deliveries to retail outlets within the Town.
"10.18.010 Exemption permits. The Town Manager or his or her designee may
issue a permit exempting a vehicle from the application of this Chapter 10.18 upon proof that no
other access exists or can reasonably be acquired to the property to which such vehicle is being
driven. Any such permit shall be effective for a period of up to six months provided the same is
displayed in the vehicle exempted.
Section 2. It is unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions of this
Ordinance. Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall
be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or by imprisonment not exceeding one
hundred eighty days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
INTRODUCED, APPROVED, PASSED ON FIRST READING AND
ORDERED POSTED the 25th day of August, 1998, and a public hearing on this ordinance shall
be held at the regular meeting of the Town Council on the 8th day of September, 1998, at 5:30
P.M. in the Council Chambers, Avon Municipal Building, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado.

THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 98-13 SERIES OF 1998:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN
OF AVON TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
WITHIN THE TOWN OF AVON; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION
HEREOF
A copy of said Ordinance is attached hereto, and is also on file at the office of the Town Clerk,
and may be inspected during regular business hours.
Following this hearing, the Council may consider final passage of this Ordinance.
