ORDINANCE NO. 96 -18
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE TOWN OF AVON AS IT RELATES TO COMPENSATION
OF MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON
as follows:
Section 1. Amendment. Chapter 2.04 of the Municipal
Code of the Town of Avon is repealed and re- enacted to read as
follows:
"Section 2._04 010 Compensation of Councilmembers.
Councilmembers shall receive compensation for their service in
office in accordance with the following schedule:
a. Mayor - $1,000 per month.
b. Mayor Pro -Tem - $750 per month.
c. All other councilmembers - $500 per month."
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall.
become effective November 12, 1996, contingent upon approval of
Ordinance No. 96 -15 by a majority of the registered electors at
the election to be held on November 5, 1996, but if said
Ordinance No. 96 -15 is not so approved, then this ordinance shall
become effective on November 10, 1998.
INTRODUCED, PASSED ON FIRST READING, APPROVED AND ORDERED POSTED,
this 24th day of September, 1996, and a public hearing on this
Ordinance shall be held at the regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of.Avon, Colorado on the 8th day of October
1996, at 5:30 P.M. in the Municipal Building of the Town of Avon,

CODE OF THE TOWN OF AVON AS IT RELATES TO COMPENSATION
OF MEMBERS OF THE'COUNCIL
A copy of said Ordinance is attached hereto, and is also on file
at the office of the Town Clerk, and may be inspected during
regular business hours.
Following this hearing, the Council may consider final passage of
this Ordinance.
