ORDINANCE NO. 88- 9
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF
AVON AS IT PERTAINS TO TEMPORARY
CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON,
COLORADO:
Section 1. Amendment.
Paragraph A of Section
15.04.690 of Chapter 15.04, Title 15 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Avon is amended to read as follows:
"Section 15.04.690 Certificate of Occupan-
cy--Temporary Certificates. A. If the building
official finds that no substantial hazard will
result from occupancy of a separate portion of any
building before the issuance of a certificate of
occupancy for the entire building, he may issue a
temporary certificate of occupancy for the tempo-
rary use of such separate portion until the
certificate of occupancy is issued. Any such
temporary certificate of occupancy shall contain
the following language:
'This temporary certificate of occupancy
permits temporary use only of a portion of a
building for which a certificate of occupancy has
not been issued. This temporary certificate of
occupancy may be revoked without advance notice or
hearing on the basis of incorrect information
supplied or upon a determination, in the sole
discretion of the building official, that the
building or any portion thereof does not comply
with the code or ordinances of the Town of Avon
including incorporated building codes.'"
Section 2. Amendment. Chapter 15.04 of the
Municipal Code of the Town of Avon is amended by the addi-
tion of a Section 15.04.692 as follows:
"15.04.692 Revocation of Temporary Certifi-
cate. The building official may revoke any
temporary certificate of occupancy, without
advance notice or hearing, on the basis of incor-
rect information supplied or upon a determination,
in his sole discretion, that the building or any
portion thereof does not comply with this code or
any ordinance of the Town including incorporated
building codes."
INTRODUCED, PASSED ON FIRST READING, APPROVED AND ORDERED
POSTED, THIS 24th day of May , 1988
and a public hearing on this Ordinance shall be held at the
regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon,
Colorado, on the 14th day of June , 1988 at
7:30 P.M. in the Municipal Building of the Town of Avon,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 14TH DAY OF
JUNE, 1988, AT THE TOWN HALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 88-9, SERIES OF 1988:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
TOWN OF AVON AS IT PERTAINS TO TEMPORARY CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY
A copy of said Ordinance is attached hereto, and is also on file
at the office of the Town Clerk, and may be inspected during
regular business hours.
Following this hearing the Council may consider final passage
of this Ordinance.
This notice is given and published by order of the Town Council
of the Town of Avon, Colorado.
