AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3,.08*.020 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF AVON TO INCLUDE THE
RENTAL OF ANY TANGIBLE ITEM AS A_ TAXABLE TRANS-
ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN-OF
AVON, COLORADO as follows:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 3.08.020 of Chapter
3.08 of Title-3 of the Municipal'Code of the Town of-Avon is
Amended by the addition of a subsection t as follows:
C. Upon the rental fee, price,.or other
consideration paid for the rental,-of any tangible
personal property within the boundaries of the
Town. Rentals shall include, but'not be-limited
to, ski rentals, car rentals, VCR rentals, and
cassette tape rentals. Such rentals, for -all,
purposes of this chapter, shall be deemed to be-
"sales" as defined in Section 3.08.010:
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall
become effective-January 1, 1986.
INTRODUCED, PASSED ON-FIRST READING, APPROVED AND,
ORDERED POSTED, THIS 26th day of November, 1985 and a public
hearing on this Ordinance shall be held at the regular
meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado,
on the 10th day of December, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. in the
Municipal Building of the Town of Avon, Colorado.
