AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15.20.010 OF THE AVON
MUNICIPAL CODE AND PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE
PUBLIC SAFETY; REGULATING THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION,
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND
THE INSPECTION THEREOF IN THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A PLUMBING CODE CONSISTENT WITH AND
GENE JLLY CONFORMING TO SIMILAR REGULATIONS THROUGHOUT THE
TOWN; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGU-
LATIONS; ADOPT ING.BY REFERENCE THE 1979 EDITION OF THE
"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS PLUMBING
CODE," AND THE 1982 SUPPLEMENT TO THE 1979 EDITION OF SAID
PLUMBING CODE, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THERE-
OF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
AVON as follows:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 15.20.010 of
Chapter 15.20, Title 15 of the Avon Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
"Section 15.20.010. Adoption. Pursuant to
Section 6.9 of the Charter of the Town of Avon,
there is hereby adopted by reference the ICBO
Plumbing Code of the International Conference of
Building Officials, 5360 South Workman Mill Road,
Whittier, California 90601, 1979 Edition, and the
1982 Supplement to the 1979 Edition of the ICBO
Plumbing Code. Three (3) each Code are now filed
in the office of the Clerk of the Town of Avon,
Colorado, and may be inspected during regular
business hours. The above Code is being adopted
as if set out at length save and except the
following:
A. Part One. Administrative."
Section 2. Violations and Penalties.
a. Violations. The following clause concerning
violations is hereby set forth in full and adopted with
reference to all of the Codes and Standards named in the
title of this Ordinance:
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair,
move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use,
occupy or maintain any building or structure in the Town of
Avon or cause or permit the same to be done, contrary to or
in violation of any of the provisions of any of the Codes or
Standards named in the title of this Ordinance.
b. Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of any of the Codes or
Standards named in the title of this Ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and any such person, firm or
corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for

violation of any of the provisions of any of the Codes or

Section 3. Saving Clause. If any part, section,
subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance or
any of the Codes or Standards adopted hereby are for any
reason held to be invalid, such decisions shall not affect
the validity of the remaining sections of this Ordinance or
any of the Codes or Standards adopted hereby; the Town
Council hereby declares that it would have passed this
Ordinance and adopted the Codes and Standards named in the
title hereto in each part, section, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that ant's
one or more parts, sections, subsections, sentences, clause
or phrases be declared to be invalid.

passage of this Ordinance.
