AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A CURFEW FOR PERSONS UNDER SIXTEEN YEARS
OF AGE; REQUIRING INSTRUCTION BY PARENTS OR GUARDIANS OF SUCH
CHILDREN OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN; AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF.
Section 1. Curfew--Parent's responsibility.
It is unlawful for any parent, guardian, or other person
having care or custody of any child under the age of sixteen
years to allow or permit any such child to be or remain on any
street, alley, or other public place subsequent to the hours of
eleven p.m., or prior to the hour of six a.m., except for lawful
employment or unless there exists a reasonable necessity therefor;
or unless such child is acompanied by a parent, guardian, or
other person of the age of twenty-one years or older having
permission of the parent or guardian to have the custody and
care of such child.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 22nd DAY OF
JULY, 1980 AT THE TOWN HALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE N0.#80-18, SERIES OF 1980:
AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A CURFEW FOR PERSONS UNDER SIXTEEN YEARS OF
AGE; REQUIRING INSTRUCTION BY PARENTS OR GUARDIANS OF SUCH CHILDREN
OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN; AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF.
A copy of said ordinance is attached hereto and is also on file
at the office of the Town Clerk and may be inspected during regular
business hours.
Following this hearing, the Council may consider final passage of
this Ordinance.
This notice given and published by order of the Town Council of
the Town of Avon, Colorado.
