ORDINANCE NUMBER 78-3

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, CREATING A CONSERVATION
TRUST FUND
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON,
COLORADO:
Section 1. Creation of Fund. - Pursuant to Article 21 of Title
29, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, as amended, there is hereby
created within the Town Budget a fund to be known as the Conservation
Trust Fund for the purposes of receiving and disbursing funds
pursuant to said Article 21 of Title 29, C.R.S. 1973, as amended.
Section 2. Certification. - The Mayor shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance to the Division of Local Government,
Department of Local Affairs of the State of Colorado.
Section 3. Safety Clause. - As the Town must establish a Con-
servation Trust Fund prior to September 1, 1978, in order to be
eligible for State conservation trust fund monies, and certification
of same must be made to the Colorado Division of Local Government
on or before August 18, 1978, this Ordinance is declared to be an
emergency ordinance which is immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health, safety and welfare.
