MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
HELD OCTOBER 26, 1999
A regular meeting of the Town of Avon, Colorado was held in the Municipal Building,
400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado in the Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Judy Yoder at 5:31 PM. A roll call was taken
with Councilors Jim Benson, Debbie Buckley, Rick Cuny, Mac McDevitt, Buz Reynolds,
and Mayor Protem Bob McIlveen present. Also present were Town Manager Bill Efting,
Town Attorney Burt Levin, Assistant Town Manager Larry Brooks, Town Clerk Kris
Nash, Police Chief Jeff Layman, Public Works Director Bob Reed, Transportation
Director Harry Taylor, Town Engineer Norm Wood as well as members of the press and
public.
Citizen Input:
Mr. John (Jack) Grimes, resident of Avon, approached the Council to discuss some legal
situations that he has encountered recently with the Avon Police Department. After
speaking for some time, Town Attorney Levin stated that Citizen Input was not the
proper place to discuss these issues because Council has no jurisdiction over them.
Police Chief Layman will meet with Mr. Grimes to discuss the issues.
Town Manager Report:
Town Manager Efting stated there will be no work session on Tuesday, November 2,
1999.

b.) Resolution No. 99-46, Series of 1999, A Resolution Authorizing a
Contract with the Colorado Department of Transportation Related to
Project Site M058-001, Avon Streetscaping, Sub=12987 for Streetscaping
in the Town of Avon, Eagle County, Colorado
c.) Cassidy's Contract for Holiday Party
d.) Resolution No. 99-47, Series of 1999, A Resolution Certifying Delinquent
Assessment Payment for Local Improvement District No. 1990-1
(Wildridge Special Improvement District) for Collection by Eagle County
Treasurer
Councilor Benson motioned to approve the Consent Agenda. Councilor Cuny seconded
the motion. The motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilor Benson motioned
to adjourn the meeting. Councilor Cuny seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at
5:45 PM.
