HELD MARCH 31, 1998 =1:45 P.M.
A special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado was held in the
Municipal Building, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado, in the Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fawcett at 2:05 PM-. A roll call was taken with
Councilors Jim Benson, Richard Carnes, Bob McIlveen, Buz Reynolds, Jr., and Mayor,Protem
Judy Yoder present. Also present were Town Manager Bill Efting, Assistant Town Manager
Larry Brooks, Town Clerk Kris Nash, Acting Town Clerk Melanie Dyck, Town Attorney John
Dunn, Town Engineer Norm Wood, Fire Chief Charlie Moore, Executive Assistant Jacquie
Halburnt and Public Works Superintendent Bob Reed, as well as members of the'press and
public.
Resolution:
Resolution 98-24, Series 1998, A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT KRISTEN E. NASH TOWN
CLERK OF THE TOWN OF AVON
Mayor Fawcett read Resolution 98-24, Series of 1998 in its entirety. He then asked for any
public input or any action from the Council.
Mayor Protem Judy Yoder motioned to approve Resolution 98-24, Series of 1998. Councilor
Benson seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously.
New Business:
The IGA with Smith Creek and Beaver Creek was tabled unanimously.
Town Attorney Report:
John Dunn reported that the Town of Avon had never filed a signed lease agreement with the
Library District. If Council wished, he would proceed to get a signed copy in the file.
Mayor Report:
Mayor Fawcett read the Proclamation for Teacher Appreciation Week in its entirety. The
Proclamation was passed unanimously.
Consent Agenda:
a.) Approval of the March 24, 1998 Council Meeting-Minutes
Mayor Protein Judy Yoder motioned to approve the consent agenda. Councilor Benson seconded
the motion and the motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor-Fawcett called for a motion to
adjourn. Councilor Jim Benson motioned to adjourn. 'The motion was seconded- by Mayor
Protein Yoder and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned by Mayor
Fawcett at 2:08 PM.
