MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
HELD SEPTEMBER 5, 1995 - 6:30 P.M.
A special meeting-of the Avon Town`Council of the Town of Avon,
Colorado was held-in the'-Municipal-Building', 400 Benchmark Road,
Avon, Colorado, in the Council Chambers.
The meeting,was called to order by Mayor Albert Reynolds at
6:46PM.. A rollca'll' was ,taken with' Councilors Richard Carnes,
Jack Fawcett,'Tom,H nes,-Celeste C. Nottingham, and Judy Yoder
present. Councilor``Jim Benson arrived'at 6c48PM.' Also present
were Town Manager Bill James, Town Clerk Patty Neyhart, and Town
Attorney John Dunn, as well as members of the press and public:
Resolution No. 95-42, Series of 1995, A RESOLUTION AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 95-41.
Councilor Yoder motioned to adopt Resolution No. 95-42, Series of
1995. Councilor Benson seconded the motion and the motion
carried unanimously.
Town Attorney Report: Esquibel Case
Town Attorney Dunn announced the Esquibel case is settled and
claims will be dismissed. It is a volunt-ary dismissal of the
case. Council commended Attorney Dunn,for his efforts.
Other Business:
Councilor Carnes requested an executive session with Council next
Tuesday to discuss the negotiations of the Avon Village
Annexation, for approximately 1-2 hours.-
Council's consensus was to discuss Swift Gulch at next Tuesday's
meeting. The ABCRA, newly named Chamber of Commerce, would like
to be at the west end of the property and Council would like to
accommodate this request.
Council'-s photographer will be available on Tuesday, September
26, 1995. Council noted they will all be in attendance.
Adjourn:
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor
Reynolds called for a motion to adjourn. Councilor Hines moved
to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilor Yoder. The
meeting was adjourned'by Mayor Reynolds at 6:58PM.
