MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF

MEETING OF THE TOWN
AVON, HELD FEBRUARY
A Special Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado,
was held in the Municipal Building, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon,
Colorado, in the Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Nottingham at 12:04
p.m. A roll call was taken with Mike Bennett, Gloria McRory,
Jim Stovall and Jerry Davis present. Councilman Reynolds
arrived 12:33 p.m. Councilman Garton was absent. Also present
were Town Attorney John Dunn, Town Manager Bill James, Director
of Community Development Rick Pylman, Town Clerk Patricia J.
Doyle, as well as members of the press and public.
The Town Manager recommended that the Town Council retire into
executive session to discuss land negotiations.
Councilman Davis moved that the Town Council recess into executive
session to discuss land transactions. The motion was seconded
by Councilwoman McRory and was unanimously carried.
The Council recessed into executive session at 12:06 p.m. and
reconvened at 12:53 p.m.
The Mayor stated that the Town Council was ready to act on a
Contract of Sale of the Nottingham Ranch properties. He stated
that the details would be announced in a press release to the press
as soon as possible, after the conclusion of this meeting.
Councilman Davis moved approval to ratify the contract with William
E. Nottingham for the purchase of the Nottingham Ranch 160-acres
for a figure of $5.5 million. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Reynolds and was unanimously carried.
There being no further-business to come before the,Council',.
Councilman Davis moved to adjourn., The motion was seconded,
by Councilman'Bennett. The meeting was adjourned by Mayor
Nottingham at 1:00•p.m.'
