MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE AVON TOWN COUNCIL
JANUARY 31, 1984 - 7:30 P.M.
A Special Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado was
held in the Municipal Building, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado in
the Council Chambers.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Allan Nottingham at 8:00 p.m.
A roll call-was taken with Larry Kumpost, Sheila Davis, Greg Gage, A.J.
Wells and Al Connell present. Don Buick was absent.
Also present were: Town Attorney John Dunn, Town Manager Richard D.
Blodgett, Finance Director Bill James as well as members of the press
and public.
Resolution No.#84-4, Series of 1984 was presented to the Council.
A RESOLUTION STATING THAT RICHARD D. BLODGETT WAS TO BE DISCHARGED OF
HIS DUTIES AS TOWN MANAGER.
The Mayor read the Resolution in its entirety.
Al Connell moved approval to adopt Resolution No.#84-4, Series of 1984.
The motion was seconded by Sheila Davis and was unanimously carried.
Larry Kumpost moved approval to appoint William James, Current Finance
Director and Assistant Town Manager, to the post of Acting Town
Manager. The motion was seconded by Al Connell and was unanimously
carried.
The Town Attorney then read the Press Release dated January 31, 1984 in
its entirety.
There being no further business to come before the Council A.J. Wells
moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Greg Gage.
The Mayor adjourned the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
