TC Minutes 12-12-1978e MINU'IES OF THE REGULAR M='LTING OF THE TOWN COUNCILMEMBERS OF THE TOWN OF AVON HELD DECEMBER 12TH, 1978 7:30 p.m. A regular meeting of the Town Councilmembers of the Town of Avon, Colorado was held in the Town Office, second floor, Benchmark Shopping Center, Avon, Colorado. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Angelo Alpi. Councilmembers in attendance were Angelo Alpi, William Doyle, Steven Erickson, Allan Nottingham, and Carol Richards. Richard Allen arrived very late and Joyce Allred was absent. Also present were: John B1ish, Town Attorney; Mike Blair and Jim Wells, the Bench- mark Companies; Duane Piper, architect; Cynthia Jordan, Alice Knipe, Hugh Price John Wheeler, members of the Design Review Advisory Committee; Sandy Smith and Chuck Betcher, residents of the Benchmark Mobile Home Park. Allan Nottingham moved that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Novembber 28th and the Special Meeting of November 15th be approved as submitted. Seconded by Steve Erickson and so carried. The Council then considered the proposed Design Review Board ordinance which was .re of oduct of the work sessions held by the Design Review Advisory Committee. A copy of i- .ie 3 f--' e is a tta ::h e 9 0 The Town Clerk presented the Council with the proposed Official Map of the Street System of the Town of Avon which designated and numbered the streets as follows: State Roads 1. Interstate 70 2. Avon Road Arterial Streets 3. Beaver Creek Boulevard (West to Tract M) 4. Nottingham Road Local Service Streets 5. Benchmark Road 6. Buck Creek Road 7. Metcalf Road 8. Nottingham Circle Future Streets - Not Maintained 9. Beaver Creek Boulevard 10. Beaver Creek Place 11. Millie's Circle Steve Erickson moved that the Council approve the proposed Official Map of the Street System on first reading. Seconded by William Doyle and unanimously carried. The Council set the Public Hearing for the proposed Official Map for December 26th, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. and directed the Town Clerk to post the Map and Notice of Public Hearing following the meeting. The Town Clerk requested that the Council approve the issuance of a combined business license for 1978 and 1979. Steve Erickson so moved. Seconded by Carol Richards and so carried. The Council received a letter from Erik Edeen regarding a meeting to be held on Dec- -giber 18 before the Board of County Commisioners to discuss the funding alternatives for t- he Environmental Health Office. Steve Erickson agreed to represent r_;le Toy.--n Council at this meeting. ~andy S7,ith and Check Betcher, residents of the duced themselves to the Council and stated that izing to discuss the tenant-landlord problems i did not ask the Council to take any action, but there. Following the executive session, Steve Eric;-.son moved that the following people be appointed to the Design Peview Board; Ronald Allred, Cynthia Jordan, Alice Knipe, Tom Lama,-,er, Hugh Price, Ken Richards, and John ',4jneeler. Seconded by William Doyle and unanimously carried. The seven names were then placed in a hat to determine the term for each merber. Pon Allred, Alice Knipe, and Hugh Price will serve for three years, Ken Richards and John Wheeler for two years, Tom Landauer and Cynthia Jordan for one vear. There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 10:45 p.m..
