RESOLUTION NO. 99-3
SERIES OF 1999
A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON THAT THE
TOWN ENDORSE THE EAGLE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE HOUSING PLAN
WHEREAS, providing housing for local residents is a critical need in the Town of Avon and Eagle
County;
WHEREAS, the Town of Avon was an active participant in the development of the Eagle County
Comprehensive Housing Plan;
WHEREAS, the Eagle County Comprehensive Housing Plan has been considered at several public
meetings in the Town of Avon and Eagle County;
N OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommends
that the Town Council of the Town of Avon endorse the Eagle County Comprehensive Housing Plan as set forth in
Exhibit “A” attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, as a guide and advisory tool to supplement the
Housing Component of the Town of Avon Comprehensive Plan.

WHEREAS, Policy C2.5 of the Avon Comprehensive Plan states that the Town will continue to
coordinate with Eagle County and other jurisdictions in planning for affordable housing.
