MINUTES OF THE LOCAL LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MEETING
HELD APRIL 8, 2008
The Avon Town Council acting as the Local Liquor Licensing Authority for the Town of Avon,
Colorado convened at 5 PM at the Avon Municipal Building, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon,
Colorado. A roll call was taken and Board members of the Authority present were Ron Wolfe as
Chairperson, and Board members Rich Carroll, Dave Dantas, Kristi Ferraro, Amy Phillips, Brian
Sipes and Tamra Underwood.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Liquor Enforcement Guideline Training (Brian Kozak, Police Chief) Discussion of possible
efforts related to educating liquor licensed establishments about Colorado Liquor Laws related to
underage drinking (Brian Kozak, Police Chief) NO MEMO
Police Chief Kozak made a presentation addressing liquor enforcement guidelines in light of a
recent incident at one of the local establishments. He noted that the training would be provided
the local liquor license holders in the near future as an effort to provide the enforcement
information required for addressing underage drinking. He explained what the police
department typically does in this identification of underage drinking. He noted that the APD
does provide training on identification in general.
Board member Underwood moved to approve the consent agenda (Minutes from March 25,
2008); Board member Carroll seconded the motion and it passed unanimously by those
members present.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 5:25 PM.
