Public Comment 03-13-2018 Walking MountainsDear Avon Town Council,
I would like to ask for your support of a request being made by Walking Mountains. The refund is a
very reasonable way for the Town of Avon to support Walking Mountains expansion, which benefits
Town of Avon citizens, visitors and the entire Vail Valley community. The vast majority of funds for
the expansion are being raised from private sources.
As an Avon resident and tax payer, I am in support of the Town of Avon refunding the amount, in
particular since Walking Mountains is an important non-profit in the Town and County and typically
does not pay taxes, such as the construction materials tax.
And, as a Walking Mountain Board Member, I value the partnership with, and support from, the
Town of Avon.
