Introduction
This is a proposal for a home office in support of a painting business. The premises are to be used
just as an office, by the residents of the house, James and Ellen Gannon.
Special Review Considerations
Title 17 section 17 48 040 of the Town of Avon Municipal Code Criteria for review,
recommendation, and approval of special review uses is included below for your review.
• Whether the proposed use otherwise complies with all requirements imposed by the zoning
code;
• Whether the proposed use is in conformance with the town Comprehensive Plan;
• Whether the proposed use is compatible with adjacent uses. Such compatibility may be
expressed appearance, architectural scale and features, site design, and odor, lighting, traffic,
safety, etc. (Ord. 91-10
Staff Comments
A home office of the type described by the applicant, and conducted within the parameters set
forth by the Zoning Ordinance, would have no perceptible impact on the adjacent uses.
Staff Recommendation
Approve the home occupation by special review.
