L47 B1 WR FenceTown of Avon Planning & Zoning Commission Staff Report: Final Design Review Submitted for the August 15, 1995 meeting Date August 10, 1995 Project Type Fence Legal Description Lot 47, Block 1, Wildridge Subdivision Zoning PUD Introduction The applicant is submitting an application for approval of an existing split rail (cedar) fence. The fence is of a two rail design built to approximately 42" to 48" in height. It includes a green wire mesh on the inside and three gates. The fence is built on lots 47 and 46, both of which are owned by the applicant. Staff Comments The design of the existing fence appears to be compatible with the existing style of fences in the area. Design Review Considerations According to the Commission's Procedures, Rules & Regulations, Section 6. 10, the Commission shall consider the following items in reviewing the design of this project: 1. Conformance with the Zoning Code and other applicable regulations of the Town. 2. The suitability of the improvement, including type and quality of materials of which it is to be constructed and the site upon which it is to be located. 3. The compatibility of the design to minimize site impacts to adjacent properties. 4. The compatibility of the proposed improvements with site topography. 5. The visual appearance of any proposed improvement as viewed from adjacent and neighboring properties and public ways. 6. The objective that no improvement be so similar or dissimilar to others in the vicinity that values, monetary or aesthetic will be impaired. 7. The general conformance of the proposed improvements with the adopted Goals, Policies and Programs for the Town of Avon. Staff Recommendation Approve the design of the fence as presented.
