L42 B2 WR Duplex DesignPlanning & Zoning Commission Staff Report Submitted for the August 1, 1995 meeting Date July 25, 1995 Review Type Final Design Project Type Duplex Location Lot 42, Block 2, Wildridge Subdivision Introduction This project, previously approved by P&Z, is a duplex on a 1.5 acre lot on Wildridge Road. The applicant now wants to change the approved cedar siding to stucco, add a chimney for a wood burning fireplace and make several minor changes to the windows. Window changes include • removing the lattices in all the windows • substituting one panel window for a 3 panel window (north elevation) • substituting a smaller sliding glass door for two sliding glass doors adjacent to the middle deck (south elevation). Two wall sections on the south elevation have also been expanded by two feet in width Staff recommendation Staff recommends approval of these modifications. The stucco siding is a material that is found on many homes in the subdivision, and is compatible with the adjacent homes and blends in with the landscape. The other changes are minor and do not detract from the design. If you have any questions regarding this or any other project or community development issue, please call me at 949-4280 (extension 131), or stop by the Community Development Department.
