Introduction
On April 18, 1995 the Planning & Zoning Commission approved the Final Design of the Upper
Eagle Regional Water Authority (UERWA) water treatment plant. The Commission conditioned
that approval on the applicant returning with color samples for the building and an exterior
lighting plan. The applicant is now requesting approval for these items.
Staff Comments
Colors
Two color options are proposed; both use the same dark beige (Benjamin Moore Paints HC -95)
wall field color with different trim colors. Option A's trim color is light olive green (B. Moore
1496); Option B's is salmon (B. Moore HC -52). Both color option packages comply with the
Design Guidelines criteria for building material as they both are of natural or earth tones with any
brighter color being used for accent; the body color is also darker than the existing color, as
requested by the Commission.
Lighting
The proposed lighting plan calls for wall mounted 100 -watt high pressure sodium (H.P.S) Type
"F" enclosed cylinder fixtures over both the main entrance door and the east personnel door. Over
the south entrance doors wall mounted 70 watt H.P.S., Type H, 6" ellipsoidal downlight fixtures
would be used. All lighting fixtures meet the Design Review reauirements for location, style and
light trespass.
Staff Recommendation
Approve one of the two building color options and the exterior lighting plan as presented.
