Condominiums; Satisfaction of Conditions for Approved Lighting Plan
On February 20, 1996 the Commission granted approval with conditions for the Beaver Creek
West Condominium Association to replace their existing parking lot lights. The conditions of the
approval were:
1. Eliminate five (5) fixtures per Exhibit "A".
2. Verification of wattage in the existing Town of Avon fixtures is necessary. If the Town of
Avon wattage is 150 watts - 100 watts is approved. If the Town of Avon fixtures are not 150
watts, the plan must be brought back to the Commission for approval.
The applicant has eliminated the five (5) fixtures per Exhibit "A', thus satisfying the requirement
of Condition F 1. However, staff has confirmed that standard Town streetscape light fixtures are
indeed 100 watt fixtures. Therefore, as stipulated by condition # 2 of the original approval, the
applicant is returning to the Commission. The applicant has not been able to find parking lot
fixtures that feature a bulb of a lower wattage than 100 watts that will work in the style proposed
by the applicant and approved by the Commission. The applicant is returning to the Commission
with the same proposed parking lot lighting fixtures, featuring 100 watt bulbs.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the Beaver Creek West parking lot lighting plan as submitted.
