L7 B4 WR Landscape Mod (2)Memorandum Date: March 28, 1997 To: Planning and Zoning Commission From: Karen Griffith, Town Planner Re: Lot 7, Block 4, Landscape Modification The final design for the VulpeNandervelde Duplex was approved in July of 1995 with the condition that trees be substituted for the bushes. The applicant has submitted a revised landscape plan. The original plan included five cottonwood trees, one pine tree, and eight rocky mountain junipers. The revised plan proposes: 1 ten foot Pinyon 4 six foot Pinyons 3 four foot Pinyons 2 six foot Rocky Mountain Junipers 2 four foot Rocky Mountain Junipers 4 five gallon Rocky Mountain Junipers. Sixteen plants are now proposed instead of fourteen. In order to be consistent with the original Planning and Zoning Commission conditions and meet Town standards for trees, all of the required plants should be a minimum of 6 feet tall. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees be provided. Five deciduous trees, with a minimum 2 inch caliper should be substituted for the evergreen trees. This is consistent with the original landscape plan and provides a mix of trees.
