PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 96-9
A RESOLUTION GIVING TENTATIVE APPROVAL TO THE
TOWN OF AVON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND THE TOWN
OF AVON TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE
HER -EAS, a public hearing was held the 15th day of October, 1996, on the adoption
by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the Town of Avon Comprehensive Plan and
the Town of Avon Transportation Plan Update; and
HER -EAS, notice of the time and place of the aforesaid public hearing was given by
one publication in The Vail Valley Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the
Town of Avon and in the Eagle Count Enterprise, the official newspaper of Eagle County;
OW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
Town of Avon, Colorado, as follows:
1. Tentative approval is hereby given to the Town of Avon Comprehensive Plan, October
15, 1996, prepared by Balloffet and Associates, Inc., including the following maps and
descriptive matter intended by the Commission to form part of the plan:
a) Regional Planning Influences
b) Town Core Planning Influences
c) Existing Land Uses
d) Overall Land Use Plan
e) Town Core Land Use Plan
f) Urban Design Plan
g) Town Core Pedestrian Plan
2. Tentative approval is hereby given to the Town of Avon Transportation Plan Update,
prepared by Centennial Engineering, Inc., including the following maps and descriptive
matter intended by the Commission to form part of the plan:
a) Town of Avon Intersection Configuration 1996
b) Town of Avon Intersection Volumes 1996
c) Intersection Levels of Service
d) Traffic Area Zones
e) Phase I, II, III, IV and V Roadway Improvements
f) Existing Pedestrian/Bicycle Facilities
3. The aforesaid plans are recommended to the Town Council for its consideration.
4. Further consideration by this Commission and final adoption of the aforesaid plans by
this Commission are continued to November 5, 1996, at 7:30 P.M.
