Introduction
This project was presented to the Commission on October 3, 1995 as a concept plan. At that
time, the Commission asked the applicant to consider modifying the buildings to include parapets.
The applicant researched the modifications, and due to increased cost and roof drainage problems,
determined that the modifications were not practical.
As was stated at the October 3 meeting, the facility is temporary. The building consists of five
modules, totaling 7070 square feet, and is constructed of manufactured wood siding. Colors are
Sherwin Williams Silverpointe (SW 2109) body with Greek Isle (SW2390) and Pebble Path (SW
2104) trim. The building is a single story.
Design Review Considerations
The buildings are temporary and industrial in character. The Town is considering options for
screening the site, including landscaping, fencing or combinations thereof. Due to the weather,
landscaping is not an option until next spring.
It should also be noted that the Town has budgeted funds for 1996 for planning and design of a
permanent public works and transportation facility.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval with the condition that the applicant consider various screening
alternatives and present them to the Commission for consideration.
