MINUTES OF THE LOCAL LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MEETING
HELD JANUARY 11, 2011
The Avon Town Council acting as the Local Liquor Licensing Authority for the Town of Avon, Colorado
convened at 5:45 PM at the Avon Town Hall, One Lake Street, Avon, Colorado. A roll call was taken and
Board members of the Authority present were Rich Carroll as Chairperson, and Board members Chris
Evans, Kristi Ferraro, Todd Goulding, Amy Phillips, and Buz Reynolds. Dave Dantas was absent.
PUBLIC HEARING ON SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT
a. Applicant: Vail Junior Hockey Association Trade Name Vail Eagle Hockey Association
Event Name: Rocky Mountain Pond Hockey Tournament
Event Dates: January 22 & 23, 2011; 10 AM until 6 PM
Address: Harry A. Nottingham Park
Manager: Patrick Him
Type: Malt, Vinous & Spirituous Liquors
Chairman Carroll asked if the application materials were in order; it was confirmed that the materials
were in order. An update on the event was made by Patrick Him. Board member Ferraro moved to
approve the renewal of the Special Event Liquor Permit for the Vail Junior Hockey Association Trade
Name Vail Eagle Hockey Association. Board member Phillips seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously by those present (Dantas absent).

Chairman Carroll asked if the application materials were in order; it was confirmed that the materials
were in order. Board member Phillips moved to approve the renewal of the Retail 3.2% Off -Premises
Beer License for 7 -Eleven, Inc. d/b/a 7 -Eleven 34209. Board member Ferraro seconded the motion and
it passed unanimously by those present (Dantas absent).
RENEWAL LIQUOR LICENSES
a. Applicant: 7 -Eleven, Inc. d/b/a 7 -Eleven 34209
Address: 008 Nottingham Road
Manager: Maria Portarescu
Type: Retail 3.2% Off -Premises Beer License
Chairman Carroll asked if the application materials were in order; it was confirmed that the renewal
application materials were in order. Board member Ferraro moved to approve the renewal of Retail
3.2% Off -Premises Beer License for 7 -Eleven, Inc. d/b/a 7 -Eleven 34209. Board member Evans seconded
the motion and it passed unanimously by those present (Dantas absent).
b. Applicant: Bob's Place, LLC, d/b/a Bob's Place
Address: 100 W Beaver Creek Blvd
Manager: Robert Doyle
Type: Hotel & Restaurant Premises Liquor License
Chairman Carroll asked if the application materials were in order; it was confirmed that the materials
were in order. Bob Doyle, owner, made some comments on pond hockey and years in business. Board
member Phillips moved to approve the renewal of the Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License for Bob's
Place, LLC, d/b/a Bob's Place. Board member Ferraro seconded the motion and it passed unanimously
by those present (Dantas absent).
CONSENT AGENDA
Chairman Carroll noted on the agenda the minutes from November 23, 201. It was noted that Board
members Evans and Goulding would not vote on this matter. Board member Reynolds then moved to
approve the consent agenda; Board member Phillips seconded the motion and it passed unanimously by
those voting and present. (Dantas absent; Evans & Goulding did not vote as they were not sworn in as
members at that time).
