Public Comments 07-25-2017 Swim ProgramI would like to personally thank all of you for stepping up and taking on the swim program .
Both of my sons are on the USA team and learned to swim at your pool and through all the bumps in the
road Avon stepped up and the program is off and running .
Thank you for that!
Thank you to Virginia your town manager and John as well!
Now I have give a big shout out to Meghan Hershey your swim director and our USA team coach who
goes above and beyond for the whole USA team and I am am sure your entire program.
We have a coach with us all the time, now people ask who is this Avon team and where is Avon.
And on top of that we are small but mighty and we win a lot.
From what I hear the entire program is growing and that means our team will continue to grow .
A lot of my Latino friends have there kids in the program who love it and this would not have been
possible before.
No back to coach Meghan I have seen coaches come and go but have never seen one that cares like she
does, goes out of her way to help and truly cares.
As an employer I can tell you this is an employee we all wish we had.
You should give her an employee of the year award or something for all she does, Our team was just at
the state championships for girls last weekend and the boys are going this weekend to represent Avon.
States you have to qualify for and our Avon team is in it.
So that all being said why don't you give us some home turf to defend we will make you proud and these
meets definitely boost the local economies.
Try to book a hotel room at the last minute for one.
This could be something Avon has first before anyone in the county.
At least research it if you have not already.
