MAIL -IN BALLOT

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Election Laws and the Town Charter of the Town
of Avon (the "Town "), in the County of Eagle, and State of Colorado, the Town of Avon will hold a Special
Municipal Election (Election) on May 3, 2016.
The Election will be conducted by Mail -In Ballot. The designated Election Official for the Town of Avon is
Debbie Hoppe, Town Clerk, and may be contacted by phone at 970.748.4001, by email at dho e _ avon.orl�,
or by mail at PO Box 975, One Lake Street, Avon, Colorado 81620.
You must be a registered voter thirty (30) days prior to the election to be eligible to vote in this Election. For
further voter registration information, please contact the Eagle County Clerk and Recorder's Office at
970.328.8710 or visit their website at http: / /www.eaglecounty.us /clerk - see "Voting & Elections ".
All active registered voters have been mailed a Mail -In Ballot on April 11, 2o16. Overseas ballots were mailed
on March 18, 2o16.
Mail -In Ballots must be returned no later than 7:oo p.m. on the day of the Election, Tuesday, May 3, M6 to
P.O. Box 975, Avon, Colorado, 81620, or by "hand delivery" to Avon Town Hall, One Lake Street, Avon,
Colorado, 8162o, during the regular business hours of 8:oo a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
(excluding holidays). On Election Day, Tuesday, May 3, 2o16, Avon Town Hall will be open for Mail -In Ballot
drop off between the hours of 7:oo a.m. and 7:00 P.M.
The following question will be the only item on the ballot:
Police Station Financing
Without raising any taxes, shall Ordinance No. 16-02 be approved and shall the Avon Town Council thereby
be authorized to use certificate of participation financing, with a principal amount not to exceed $6.5 million,
to construct a new police station facility in accordance with the terms of Ordinance No. 16 -02?
