TOWN OF AVON
EAGLE COUNTY, COLORADO
TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2012
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Laws and the Town Charter of the Town of Avon (the "Town "),
in the County of Eagle and State of Colorado, the Regular Municipal Election will be held in the Town on Tuesday,
November 6, 2012.
The election will be conducted as part of the coordinated election to be conducted by the County Clerk and
Recorder of Eagle County. The election will be held in the lawful polling place for each precinct designated by the Eagle
County Clerk and Recorder. Avon precincts 15 and 19 polling place is at the Avon Town Hall, One Lake Street, Avon,
Colorado. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election. Please note that as a registered
elector in Eagle County you will be required to present identification at the polling place.
The designated election official for the Town of Avon is Patty McKenny, Town Clerk of the Town of Avon, Box 975,
One Lake Street, Avon, Colorado 81620, telephone (970) 748 -4035 / pmckenny @avon.org. The coordinated election official
is Teak Simonton, Eagle County Clerk and Recorder, Box 537, 500 Broadway, Eagle, Colorado 81631, telephone (970) 328-
8715.
You must be a registered voter in order to qualify to vote in the coordinated election. No votes will be received by
the judges of the election unless the person offering to vote is registered to vote pursuant to the "Uniform Election Code of
1992" and has resided in the jurisdiction of the Town not less than thirty days immediately preceding the election.
Early voting may take place at the Eagle County Clerk & Recorder's offices from October 22, 2012 through
November 2, 2012, Monday through Friday, 8 am until 5 PM & Saturday October 27, 2012 from 9 am until 2 pm. Please
bring your identification. These early voting locations include the following:
Eagle: 500 Broadway
Avon: 100 W. Beaver Creek Blvd.
El Jebel: 0020 Eagle County Drive
Mail in ballots may be obtained by contacting the Eagle County Clerk and Recorder's office at 970 - 328 -8715 or
logging onto their website at the following link: http: / /www.eaglecounty.us /clerk /generaI2006.cfm# . You may drop off
your mail -in ballot at any of the Eagle County Clerk's office locations in Eagle, Avon, or El Jebel, Colorado or mail with the
preaddressed envelope enclosed with your ballot to PO Box 537, Eagle, CO 81631 -0537. Absentee ballots may be dropped
at the polling place on Election Day. You cannot vote at your polling location if you have requested a mail -in ballot.
Emergency absentee voting shall be permitted as provided in the Uniform Election Code of 1992.
